    1. TOMLINS in Ontario 1910-present
    2. Sean Mac Suibhne
    3. Hello to Everyone, Just found out there was a TOMLIN list, I'm researching my grandmother's family. I'm looking for the family members of George and Sarah (REED) TOMLIN from Dronfield Derbyshire England. Rumor has it the parents stayed behind but Charles, Fredrick, and George came to Toronto. On their Attestation Paper(1915) they all lived at the address of 72 Hatherly Earlscourt Toronto. Several sisters followed, Jane Alice, Polly, and Adelaide. If anyone is researching this same family I'd love to hear from you. Take care, Cindy

I have some information on Jacob's daughter Sarah who was born in Malacca, India. Sarah married a relative of mine think it was 1856, he was John Metcalfe Pollard, a solicitor, who grew up near Tunstall at Kirkby Lonsdale where you mentioned Jacob was the curate. John and Sarah subsequently moved to Ipswich, Suffolk where they raised a large family. The line is very interesting! I am descended from John Metcalfe Pollard's cousin, Ann Pollard Pickard, who lived in Burnley, Lancs. John's father came from there but married Mary Metcalfe from Kirkby Lonsdale. The Metcalfe's seem to have paid for the training of Mary's two oldest sons, John became a lawyer and Geoffrey an architect. The other 9 children had fewer chances in life! 1. [TOMLIN] AncestryDNA discontinuing their Y-DNA and mtDNA testing
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: wclaurence Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.tomlin/604/mb.ashx Message Board Post: On Thursday, Ancestry.com announced that they will no longer sell Y-DNA and mtDNA tests. Additionally, the results from past Y-DNA and mtDNA tests will no longer be available after September 5, 2014. There is no guarantee on what the future holds for Ancestry.com's autosomal DNA offering, so it is strongly recommended that if you tested with Ancestry.com to transfer your Y-DNA and Autosomal DNA to Family Tree DNA where their main focus is genetic genealogy. mtDNA is not transferable because of compatibility issues. Family Tree DNA is committed to supporting these valuable genealogical tests today and in the future. You, and anyone you know who has tested with Ancestry.com, should transfer your record to Family Tree DNA as soon as possible. The Y-DNA and Autosomal DNA transfer options are listed below: $19 Y-DNA 33 Marker Transfer. You can store your results on FTDNA and participate in group projects. There will be no matches or haplogroup predictions $19 Y-DNA 46 Marker Transfer. You can store your results on FTDNA and participate in group projects. There will be no matches or haplogroup predictions $58 Y-DNA 33 Transfer 25 Marker Upgrade. You can store your results on FTDNA and participate in group projects. You will be able to view your Y-DNA matches, and you will receive a Haplogroup prediction. $58 Y-DNA 46 Transfer 37 Marker Upgrade. You can store your results on FTDNA and participate in group projects. You will be able to view your Y-DNA matches, and you will receive a Haplogroup prediction. $69 Autosomal DNA. You can store your results on FTDNA, participate in group projects and view your Family Finder matches. * Those unable to provide samples can still be upgraded to receive 12 marker matches for Y-DNA33 and 25 marker matches for their Y-DNA46. 3. Margie I wish I could.  In December I made a $60 payment on my property taxes. Can't pay them all at one time.  My brother-in-law gave me $100 for gasoline to go to San Antonio for family Christmas celebration.  I do not have a Medicare supplement and I have back bills I am struggling to pay.  I know the dire situation your cousin is in as when your kidneys start failing everything starts shutting down.  I have moderate kidney failure myself. Trying to adjust my diet as things that are good for diabetics are not always good for renal failure.  If I could I would give it to you and say just forget paying me back.  Right now the credit union will not give me a loan because my revolving is too high. I made a foolish financial mistakes a few years ago and I am really struggling from month to month.. I will remember your cousin in my prayers.    Shirley Tomlin He made the world a little brighter whereever he did go, the Old Lamplighter of Long Long Ago. Am here to see my ill cousin she is suffering from Kidney disease and must undergo Kidney transplant to save her life. Kidney transplant is very expensive,so i want to transfer her back home to have the surgery implemented. I really need to take care of this now but i traveled with little money due to the short time i prepare for this trip and never expected things to be the way it is right now. I need a loan of $2,000 from you and I'll refund you at my return. I will really appreciate whatever amount you can come up with,if not all get back to me. I'll advise on how to transfer it.
