    3. Hello, My grandmother was Therresa Toman, daughter of Homer and Jennie Toman of New Lisbon, Juneau County, WI. I think Therresa Toman was born 1879, and died about 1939 of infection from a needle entering her body. She married William McBain, and they lived in Jackson county, WI most of their married life. William worked for the railroad. Frank was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a son of Joseph and Mary Fedorshian Toman. He was a 1951 graduate of The Rayen School, Youngstown, Ohio and in 1960, received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Youngstown State University and in 1961, his Master's Degree from Kent State University. Frank was a teacher of government and history for the Liberty School system for 38 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Austintown, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Frank coached Little League and Pony League Baseball, was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Indians fan, and enjoyed spending time with his various pets. He will be sadly missed by his family, his wife, the former Elizabeth J. Beradino, whom he married May 25, 1957; his daughter, Marybeth (Randy) Fincher of Tampa, Fla.; his son, Brad (Barbara) Toman of Brecksville; and four grandchildren, Matthew (Megan) Gambrel, Bradlee Toman, Brooke Toman, and Brandon Toman. He also leaves his sister, Helen Balog of Youngstown and his brothers, William Toman of Youngstown and Robert Toman of Austintown . Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Toman and Joseph Toman; and his sister, Marian Pierko. There will be calling hours on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home Frank will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Kozak, 92, formerly of Struthers, who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Mary was born June 18, 1921, in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of John and Julia Pavlansky Toman and grew up in the Lansingville area of Youngstown, OH. She was a 1939 graduate of Wilson High School, and as a teenager she competed in track for the Sokols in Youngstown. She was a member of Christ Our Savior St. Nicholas Church of Struthers. She was also a member of St. Luke's Ladies Bowling League, Women's Jednota Bowling League, and a member of Jednota Branch 731. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and playing cards. Mary loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren. Her husband, Joseph B. Kozak, whom she married May 28, 1941, celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing on Jan. 10, 2002. She will be sadly missed by her family, her children, Bill (Carol) Kozak of Poland, Ohio and Julie (John) Grossman of Boardman; her son-in-law, Tom (Marilyn) Chako of Struthers; and her grandchildren, three granddaughters she helped raise, Lori (Jamie) Owen, Lisa Becker, and Christine (Jon) McLain, Nathan Kozak, Jennifer Grossman, John (Alicia) Grossman, Beth, Amy and Joseph Kozak of Mississippi. She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Ellen Becker, Hazen Becker, Owen McLain, and Liam McLain. Toman, 89, passed away peacefully late Friday afternoon, Oct. 25, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley. Helen was born Nov. 28, 1923, in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of the late Stepan and Maria Fulton Dobranchin, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, worked as a clerk for Isaly's Dairy, and as a helper and bookkeeper in the family's businesses. She was a lifelong member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown, OH. Mrs. Toman enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and playing slot machines, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Helen's beloved husband of more than 62 years, Joseph M. Toman, whom she met while working at Isaly's, and married on Jan. 10, 1945, passed away Aug. 1, 2007. She leaves four sons, J. Richard (Mary Agnes) Toman of Austintown, OH, Ronald (Debra) Toman of Youngstown, Robert (Rebecca) Toman of Ellsworth, OH, and Randy (Deborah) Toman of Ellsworth; seven grandchildren, Christine (Jason), Rick (Penny), Tiffany, Zeb (Jess), Tekla, Chloe, and Sephora; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Julia; and a great-grandchild on the way. Helen will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her husband, five brothers, Stephen, John, Fr. Benedict O.S.B., Michael, and George, and a sister, Mary Gorsky, are deceased. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., today, Oct. 29, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N.
