Hi Donna, thanks for the offer of looking at Loveless in the 1881 census Irene has already been very helpful for me in finding my direct ancestors in the Norfolk Loveless family. It would be good to fill out the picture of what happened to some of the others as apparently one went on to be a missionary in Africa. So far with Irenes help we have got Robert Loveless (born 1810 in Bressingham and his family living in Diss Norfolk) And his eldest son and family - Robert (born 1837 in Dover) living with his family in North Walsham. William Alger Loveless my G Grandfather was the youngest son of the older Robert and was living at home With Dad in 1881. So where was John Loveless born 1841 in Diss. And other possible descendants of the Bressingham Loveless family? Your help would be welcome. There has always been the story in my family of a link with the Tolpuddle Loveless so far my researches have confirmed other aspects of the family story. I wonder whether other children of your John Loveless of Tolpuddle b 1731 who I assume was the grandfather of George and James, had other children who moved away from Dorset? If there is anyone else researching the Norfolk UK Loveless family I will be happy to share information, odds are that we would be related!
