    3. Dear Mandy and others looking for Fordington, Fordington normally referred to as to Fordington St George is part of Dorchester. There is still a High Street Fordington which I found using a Web search for the name as there is a boat builder listed there at No 12!!! There is web page with a picture of Fordington church at http://www.bath.ac.uk/~lismd/dorset/churches/fordington.html I found this information using the web search engine copernic.com which is useful as it caries out a search of 10 internet search engines simultaneously. Fordinton Bottom is on the River Frome on the outskirts of Dorchester it was the site of recent excavations of an enormous Roman aqueduct. the web page about this is at http://csweb.bournemouth.ac.uk/consci/text_dor/putnam.htm Best of luck with your hunting I am pursuing information about the Norfolk Lovelss' via the Norfolk Family History Society but if any of you looking at Dorset come up with any links across to Dover where Robert Loveless of Bressingham was married in 1834 or to Bressingham or Diss or North Walsham do let me know.
