Hi Donna: I'd just like to add my prayers to the list. My mother died eighteen years ago, but time marches on for all of us, and my wife's parents are now in their upper eighties. When my mother had a stroke, I found out my passport needed to be renewed and it took the best part of a week even though there was a most helpful British Consulate in Los Angeles then. I managed to visit her the afternoon before she died, and I know she was pleased that I had come; even though she was allegedly in a coma, she responded to my presence. Martin - thank you for your email and kind words. I was glad that I was able to see and have some time with mom. She is still hanging in there and may last a few months more. One doesn't know when one will leave this good earth but at least she is not afraid and feels that she has had a good life and wants us to go on with our lives. I too can't feel too much sadness as I can feel her peace and am at peace with my god also. Must run for now.
