    3. Hello gang Hope you all are keeping well. I wanted to give you all an update on my little nephew Adam because you were all so wonderful with your prayers and support. My sister Donna and Adam take the one hour trip to Melbourne weekly were they stay overnight, he has had so many needles and lumber punchers and takes it all in his stride, Donna says he cries and carries on at the time but as soon as she says, all over, he comes around really quickly, he never gives her trouble going down there or in between the treatment, he is such a brave boy that he astounds his Aunty every day,. He has been very well during his chemo, (thank God) it's a strange thing he was so sick for ten months before he was diagnosed with leukemia that he has sailed through the treatment. Next week starts the final 14 weeks of the most intense treatment. He is to have a tube inserted into his little stomach for Donna to inject him every other day. He lost hair but not all of it, he became puffy but was still gorgeous. The chemo medication turned his eyes but they are improving and he is under the best eye specialist who is watching him closely. He started school last week and loves it, we are very proud of him and he has set the bench mark for our family on how to handle yourself through difficult times. I want to send a special thanks to you Donna, Adam was thrilled with his parcel, thank you so much for your kindness, he says he is going on holidays to Maine is the USA to see the lady who sent him a moose, now he wants to know if Canada is on the way so he can come and say thank you to you, he so cute and studies my globe of the world to see where you are. Thank you Donna for making him feel special. To finish off I have a funny for you all, even through I didn't laugh only felt tired after reading it :-)))) Lovely to see some action on the list and a huge welcome to the new folk, good luck in your search. Toodles for now Love Irene (Eye) PS -- Cas are you all settled?????? Send me you new address please. Voted Women's Favorite Email of the Year A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed: "Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen. God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, Set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, Drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners And stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, Then drove home to put away the groceries, Paid the bills and balanced the checkbook. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, Then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper. After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint. The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said, Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back." The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night." Voted Women's Favorite Email of the Year
