All I know to date is that Alice's marriage certificate says he was a gardener and that she was married in St Peter's Church Parkstone in Poole, Dorset on 4 June 1910. Alice was my maternal grandmother. One of the witnesses named on the marriage certificate was Dollie Legg. I believe she may have been a relative. My mother who has recently passed away used to refer to an Aunty Dollie (and also an Aunt Cis (who may have owned a farm or smallholding in or near Tolpuddle).
