Hi Irene and Carol I've been slow! The Bridport Loveless connection is unlikely to be relevant to any of us in the UK or Australia. The Loveless in Bridport whom George Lovelss contacted was his Brother John Loveless Born 14 April 1786 died 1861 John was a flax dresser and it was alleged that it was he who had supplied literature from the flax dressers union in Leeds to George. One of his sons emigrated to Canada and three emigrated to the USA and have according to Joyce Marlow descendants in Ohio. If you are not familiar with Joyce Marlows' book it is 'The Tolpuddle Martyrs' published in the UK by Panther in1974, the back of my copy has prices for Canada and Australia I don't know if it is still in print although my brother recently obtained a copy from somewhere!. best wishes David
