Hello Heather, I attempted unsuccessfully to email you directly in response to your posting and so am resonding directly to the list. Joseph Lenard Loveless was the son of James Wilson Loveless and Mary Polly Cronk. He was born in Prince Edward County, Ontario in 1842. He died in Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon on March 3, 1922. He first married Fanny Webb circa 1865 and his second wife was Viola A. Dickerson, whom he married on August 30, 1877 in Goodland, Lapeer County, Michigan. The Nathan that you mentioned in your email was his brother. Their father, James Wilson Loveless was born in Prince Edward County, Ontario in 1808 and was named after his mother's, sister's husband, James Wilson. James Wilson Loveless' parents were Absalom Loveless and Harriet Roblin. Absalom was born in NY State circa 1775 and died in 1812. Harriet was born in NJ on January 12 1782/83. She died Sept 22 1858. They were married in Prince Edward County in 1805. Their three known children were John, James Wilson and Crandall. After Absalom's death, Harriet married Jonathan Greeley. The Roblin family was one of the first to settle Prince Edward County. If you are not sure where that is it is the island right next to the northern shore of Lake Ontario and midway between Toronto and Kingston. I am descended from Absalom and Harriet's youngest son, Crandall Loveless I hope this info. helps, Susan Lovelace Orillia, Ontario ----- Original Message ----- From: "Heather Canevaro" <caro@sasktel.net> To: <TOLPUDDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 07, 2004 10:07 PM Subject: [TOL] Canadian Loveless > Hello, > > I am a new member and am looking for any info available on a > Lenerd(Leonard) Loveless, b abt1844.
