It's great to see new activity on the list - Hi Irene!!!! - (don't ask...life didn't improve greatly since new year...) With new people reading the mails I am going fishing for anyone who may have anything fresh on my old lot: I am still hunting for Thomas Loveless m. Jane Fry in 1748 Long Bredy. I know they had Anne Loveless and Thomas Loveless, I believe they had several other children inbetween. Does anyone have anything linked? Thomas was father to Henry Loveless. This family remained in Long Bredy until the 1830s when they took off for Kent which makes me wonder why....... Does anyone have information about John Loveless's (married to Thomasina Gould - 1746) parents? For some reason I believe that John's father was a Thomas Loveless. Anyway - worth a shot. Nice to hear the activity and some 'wins'! And I wish I had a funnee to add but my suppliers seem to have stopped since New Year! Cheers, Carol
Hi Carol In your response to your question - Does anyone have information about John Loveless's (married to Thomasina Gould - 1746) parents? For some reason I believe that John's father was a Thomas Loveless. See Paul Pearson's mail below - I came across it whilst browsing the archives. It appears to offer an answer. Bye Bye Malcolm >Hi all > >Recently joined the site. I live in Poole which is approx 15 miles from >Tolpuddle where the original Martyrs lived. Although the village has a new >by-pass now I often take a detour and go through the village. The Museum >has been upgraded and is a big improvement on what it used to be. > >My maternal grand mother was a Loveless and it was always said in the >family that in some way they were related to the Tolpuddle Martyrs. There >was no evidence handed down and it has taken years to find the connection. >My James Loveless 1729-1789 was the brother of John Loveless bap 1731. >There parents were Thomas Loveless bap 1676 and Margaret Davies bap approx >1695. They were married on 6.4.1713 ans Margaret came from Buckland Newton >Dorset, Johns grand son's were George and James Loveless-two of the Martyrs. > >If anyone is connected to these Lovelesses I would be pleased to hear from >them. > >Regards >Paul Pearson. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Park" <brecas@dnet.net.au> To: <TOLPUDDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 10:59 AM Subject: [TOL] Loveless activity! > It's great to see new activity on the list - Hi Irene!!!! - (don't ask...life didn't improve greatly since new year...) > With new people reading the mails I am going fishing for anyone who may have anything fresh on my old lot: > I am still hunting for Thomas Loveless m.
