Lovelace of St. Catharines, passed away in the General Hospital there last week-end and was laid to rest in Olinda cemetery on Monday. The late Major Lovelace was in his 83rd year. A native of Essex county, he had moved to St. Catharines 55 years ago. He was a former editor and publisher of the St. Catharines Evening Journal and was connected with the Leamington Post in his early days. He saw service overseas during the first Great War and was awarded the Military Cross for gallantry. He was a member of the Masonic Order and St. Paul's United Church in St. Catharines.
