I am looking for a Benjamin or John Benjamin Lovelace born Wells, Somerset in1793, he is the eldest brother of Charles. Written in his fathers will (also Benjamin) in 1843 was "I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Lovelace my Silver tankard upon condition that he do pay unto his brother Charles the sum of Three Pounds of lawful British Money immediately upon having such tankard DELIVERED to him. It points to 1. Benjamin was still alive in 1843 (he would have been 50 yrs old) 2. Benjamin was no longer in Wells, but elsewhere and could be overseas ( the wording of Lawful English Money) It is most interesting. Also your Benjamin could have been my Benjamin's son (father using the name John Benjamin, both going down our family consistently) Your Benjamin and Sarah Rebecca Hawkins had a couple more children according to the IGI Edward Hawkins Lovelace b 28 Dec 1851 St. Luke, Finsbury, London Mary Ann Lovelace bpt 16 Oct 1855 Sepulchre, London.
