Hi Brian and Carol Yes it is an Aussie email. I am tracing the Lovelace family of Charles Fletcher Lovelace and his wife Hester Parson, orginally from Wells, Somerset. I am in touch with Irene Howgate and we are exchanging what info we can as some of her family and some of Charles sister Eliza matthew Lovelace ( husband John Collen) family also lived at Castlemaine. Her Robert came from Bristol and Eliza married her John there. It will be interesting to see if anything come of it. Please tell about your family- where in Eng you came from. I do know of James and George Loveless the Tolpuddle Martyrs, but they went back to Eng, on to Essex and then part of the family went overseas. Love to know anything you can tell me. I have been researching for about 25 + years. I live in a little place called Culgoa, 75k west from Swan Hill. My first married name was Lovelace and that is my childrens name.
