Hi Barbara, keeping my fingers crossed that you and Irene can cross-match. She has done so much work for me and many other Loveless/laces and had little luck herself with her family search. My oldest ancestor, my g.g.g. granddad was Henry Loveless born circa 1805 in Axmouth - on the Dorset/Devon border. We believe that he was a rope maker/flax dresser working in Bridport and possibly had a connection with Donna's relations who were also connected with flax dressers in Bridport. He and his family moved on to Kent around 1834 and may have changed their name to Lovelace temporarily, they lived in Folkestone, then Dover, then Peckham and South London where I was born a Loveless. I am told by aged aunt that we are related to Tolpuddle martyrs - but have yet to trace any Henrys in the info. about the family! We emigrated in 1992 after my wanting to come over here almost since I could open an atlas! Just love that huge sky......do wish you well with your hunting and I'll keep ears open for Bristol/Somerset links. Carol l/Somerset links. Carol
