HI there I’m trying to find out whether there is any truth in the old family rumour that we are related to the Loveless brothers of Tolpuddle martyr fame. My grandfather’s name is Joseph Lovelace Nobbs. Lovelace is apparently an old family name, he is from a Dorset farming family and the name Nobbs is supposedly a Dorset bastardisation of Roberts, so it is not totally beyond the bounds of possibility.
