Hi Lesley, We formed our first Standfield descendant reunion after meeting new cousins while doing our research. My brother Gary, who lives in Montreal Que. and I have been doing research together for about five years. When we made new contacts, we decided to have a "get-together" and the first one was held in Bolton Ontario with our Toronto area cousins and B.C. cousins in 1990. By 1991 we had found a U.S. limb of our family in the Cleveland Ohio area, with some of their children living in the southern states. That year the Ohio cousins held a gathering in Medina Ohio near Cleveland, so that was our second reunion. This year we have found another limb who are still residing in the London Ont. area, so we decided to hold a reunion this year in London. Most of the U.S. and B.C. folks will not be attending because of distance and finances. So to say we do this every year......we have more or less just started. We thought Fanshawe conservation area was a good place to hold it as it is closest to the Siloam Cemetery should any family members want to view the Martyrs Plaque and graves and get photos. We will try and make it a tradition, if not every year, every two years. We would love to have you come and join us sometime.
