Hi Everyone, I just want to share a little bit of my excitement. We have arranged a Topuddle Martyrs Standfield Descendants Reunion this summer, in fact it's only two weeks away, in London Ontario, at Fanshawe Conservation Area, Watson Pavillion, Saturday July 12th. If anyone lives in the London area and would like to pop by for a visit, you are welcome. I have been busy making up name tags for everyone and getting my old photos copied and posted to show our lines of descent. We were expecting about eighty people, but it looks like we will have about 55, and some will be meeting for the first time. Being a genealogy buff, last summer my brother Gary from Montreal and I were in London doing research together and visiting (what else) cemeteries. We came across the grave of our grandfather's sister and noticed that it was well attended. I had a water bottle in the car that was near empty, so I chugged down the last bit and asked Gary for some paper. We planted a note in the bottle explaining who we were and asked for a contact by leaving our e-mail address enclosed. I then partially buried the water bottle with top exposed in between the flowers. Within one week we had a reply and another Standfield descendant contact. This lady and her married daughters and families all still live in London and will be attending the reunion. Fanshawe Conservation area is quite close to Siloam Cemetery where the George Loveless and Thomas Standfield are buried. I have the least distance to travel, being only 55 miles from London. Will let you know how it goes! Gayle Gayle

Gayle - is this reunion only for Standfield descendants. Diana Loveless, one of my descendants married a Thomas Standfield in 1812 in Tolpuddle. I live in Barrie which is not all that far away from London.
