Hello Lawrence If you have dates for Florence Loveless, her birth, death or marriage, I might be able to connect you. Florence parents names and who Florence married makes things easier. If you don't have these approximate dates might help. I have a lot of Loveless records up until the 1880's and lots of us on this list have records of the Tolpuddle Martyrs family. Tell us all you know of Florence and I am fairly confident someone on this list could have something. Irene P.S. HAPPY AUSSIE MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MUM'S ON THE LIST. -----Original Message----- From: Lawrence Raymond Gregory [mailto:lawrencergregory@hotmail.com] Sent: Sunday, May 08, 2005 12:31 AM To: TOLPUDDLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TOL] Loveless Connections I was wondering if you could help me, there has always been a family legend that we are decended from the Tolpuddle Martyrs Loveless family, My grandfather Donald Gordon Walker, his mother Gwendoline Evelyn and her mother Florence Loveless. They were resident in Birmingham. Can anybody give me any advice how i could follow this up. Irene - thank you for the Mother's Day wishes. I would like to add my belated greetings as I was away attending my mother's memorial. Returned home last night. Everything went well except that I put my back out unpacking. Today I'm moving very slow. Had to go see my chiropractor. Cheers, Donna ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eye" <eye22@bigpond.com> To: <TOLPUDDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 07, 2005 11:17 AM Subject: RE: [TOL] Loveless Connections > Hello Lawrence > If you have dates for Florence Loveless, her birth, death or marriage, I > might be able to connect you. Hi Thankyou to so many of you for replying, my information on my maternal ancestors is very sketchy, due to a family feud in the 1970's, all i know is from my grandfathers birth cert and family myths, as follows, Florence Loveless, was suposedly the granddaughter of one of the tolpuddle martyrs (I thought they had all gone to Canada), she married a Wilson, had a daughter Gwendoline Evelyn Wilson, who married John Leonard Gordon Walker, they had a few kids, one of whome was my grandad Donald Gordon Walker (1918-1997), at the time of his birth they were living in Hall Gren, Birmingham, UK. he married Eileen Doris Smallwood (1920-1998) in 1941, had 6 kids, one of whome is my mother, Fiona Mary Kristin Walker (1958-), who in 1981 married John Raymond Gregory (1948-), and that is all i have, i dont know wether the Loveless conection is just myth or if there is something behind it, unfortunatly, i dont know anyone on my grandfathers side of the family to ask, i have emailed my uncles, my mums elder brothers to ask if they have any more info and i will keep you updated.
