This is a message from quite a while back as you can see from the date on the Dorset list. I checked the archives; the only other messages posted at all in the last couple of years on Loveless were by Irene Howgate and Donna King. I'm copying Janice on this message in case she's still at this e-mail address and might want to join us here. Janice, if you get this e-mail, we're a new list devoted to finding out more about Lovelesses in England, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. W. Marsha asked me if there was a Dorset list. I know some of you are already on that list. The address to subscribe, I believe, is [email protected] You put the word Subscribe in the body of the message. Are any of you subscribed to any of the Canadian lists such as Ontario? I used to be subbed there, but I over committed myself with lists. W.
Hi folks, Thanks for joining us here. This list will be a bit different than the regular Lovelace list in that I won't be sending any daily messages or anything of a routine nature like Greg does. I simply don't have the time for that. What I would like to do is wait a couple of days for a few more folks to get the message about the list and then go back and post some of the personal messages I've received about the Tolpuddle and other non-American lines. Then I'd like to see you all jump in and support each other while I just sort of "hang out" since I don't have that much to contribute along these lines with original research. Sandra LaCoe gets the prize for the first post . . . :-) This list will have archives available like all Rootsweb lists, and I'll post information on the Tolpuddle section of the web site. If any of you have pertinent documents or transcribed records or anything else that will be helpful to other researchers on your lines, please let us know. Let others know about this list who might be interested in sharing, too. The more that is out there to share, the more likely we'll get others to find us who have more to share. OK, welcome to the Tolpuddle list! Wendy

The name Lovelass is mainly used in this area but I have seen the same family spell it differently. Sandra Sheard LaCoe
