He was the father of Tyyne Viljanen, Sandra, Emil Sironen, Aleksi Sironen, Ilmari Toivonen, Linda Dagmar Toivonen, Aila Niini Justina Toivonen, Niilo Toivonen. He married Hilda Sironen.
