Grant 17 Jan 1844 Wilson Co, TN. We have a problem with the birth date of their first son, Thomas F. Clifton who was born somewhere between 1846-1850. Census, death, cemetery records all show different ages for Thomas. He's 4 in 1850 census in Wilson Co but by the time he marries the 1st time, he shows himself born about 1850. His death certificate has his birth as 1842 and his gravestone, though hard to read, has been transcribed as him being born in 1842.
