I have some data gathered on my own re. Frederick Carter of Wilson Co., TN. It appears he was the Frederick Carter (I have never found him shown with a middle initial in any record) who m. Nancy Jenkins, 28 July 1797, Culpeper Co., VA. The earliest record I have placing him in Wilson Co., TN is dated 13 February 1815. In 1850, he was aged 81, b. Va, and Nancy was aged 71, b. Va., making them born ca. 1769 and 1779 respectively. Provable children are: Nancy Carter, b. ca. 1801, VA, m.
