I'm still trying to pin down the parents of Solomon Carter, my husband's ggg-grandfather, born in Wilson Co. TN in 1813. (He later lived in Rutherford Co. and moved to Logan Co. KY after that.) The latest parental suspects are Thomas & Celia Carter, who were living in Rutherford Co. for the 1850 census. They are supposed to be from VA originally, and they were ages 68 and 65 in 1850, which means they were born roughly 1782 and 1785. I have not yet found a marriage record for them. Does anyone who knows Wilson Co. better than I do recognize this couple as having married or lived in Wilson Co. around 1813? (I have posted about them separately to the Rutherford Co. list.) Any tips appreciated.
