JOHN BENJAMIN FLETCHER probably related to Russell Fletcher who was indicted with Thomas Washington for Murder in Wilson County Tennessee Circuit Court born (Court Records 1810-1855)born c.1808 NC/VA married and divorced in early Wilson Co.,TN and later moved to Marshall Co.,Ky in time for the 1850 census where later John Benjamin Fletcher moved. John Benjamin Fletcher known as J.B.Fletcher born in Wilson/Rutherford area of Tennessee c.1818. In 1839 at Wilson county he signs as bondsman for the marriage of Wlizabeth M. Fletcher (1) Thaxton to marry Joseph Guill, son of Byrd Guill of Halifax Co.,Va deceased of Wilson Co.,TN march 1829. 1822 Wilson County Deed Book M * William Walker to POLLY FLETCHER for natural love and affection and for the benefit and support of her four children: MARY FLETCHER;SALLY FLETCHER; BETSY FLETCHER and JOHN FLETCHER dated 25 September 1822(p.65) 1850 09 April Wilson County Deed Book X "JOHN B.FLETCHER to JOSEPH F> MARTIN the fee simple interest I share with my three sisters, MARY, SALLY , and the heirs of ELIZABETH deceased, to take effect at the death of my mother POLLY WALKER. dated 09 April 1850 (p.525) 1840 John Benjamin Fletcher list on the Federal Census of Rutherford Co.,TN. He is 20-30 with 20-30 yr female in the home, could be a first wife or sister. 1844 June 24th he married Sarah POOL at Wilson Co.,TN 1850 appears in the Federal Census of Wilson County, TN next door to his father in law ARCHIBALD POOL and wife, Cintha Pool of Virginia. John B. Fletcher is a Baptist Minister 32 yrs of age, his wife, Sarah Pool Fletcher age 24 son Thomas P. Fletcher is 5; daughter Catherine E. Fletcher is 8; son Gustavious (Gus) Fletcher is 3; son John W. Fletcher is 1. 1855-1857 J.B.Fletcher and wife Sarah Pool Fletcher move to Kentucky wher he secured a preaching assignment with the United Baptist Convention. In 1857 the first Kentucky born child, Mary D. Fletcher was born. John Benjamin Fletcher keeps Kentucky as his home throughout his life and continues to live in Marshall County last found in 1880 census at age 62: Sarah age 45 I do Fletcher research in Wilson Co.,TN; North East Texas; and Virginia on the THOMAS FLETCHER born 1762 line. I descend from JOSEPH FLETCHER born 1814 in Halifax Virginia who married Mary Talbot and lived at Wilson County, TN 1850 until 1900. I did a lot of this research on J.B.Fletcher but could not find a family link to my Joseph Fletcher.
