Of course the census is not absolute proof, but he is the only James or James A. Powell in Wilson Co. that census year and his daughter is named Mary, the same as his mother You will have to contact the Wilson Co. Archives in Lebanon, TN to request a marriage lookup for James and his sisters. Marriages for those years are not posted online and, as far as I know, no book of marriages for those years has been published You can also request a lookup for a Will for Wiley Powell from the Archives.
