I am searching for the parents of this couple. Allen Hill and Sarah moved to Caddo Parish La sometime around the mid 1830's Their daughter Elizabeth P. Hill married William Thatcher in Caddo Par. Allen and Sarah also had a son, John W. Allen, an Attorney and CW soldier, and a daughter Sarah. Don't know anything about the daughter Sarah but would like to. Hope that these names will connect with others searching the Hill and Peace families. Dorothy Cox _jbc1019@aol.com_ (mailto:jbc1019@aol.com) Dorothy, I can't relate to your information above, but I had an Aunt, Ada Knight who married a Jess Hill. I think his first name started with a W, but not sure what that stood for. Without my notes in front of me. I think my Aunt was born in the late 1800's in Wilson Co. TN. They had no children. I remember my Aunt was barely 5 ft tall and Uncle Jess was about 6' 6" and he always ate his dessert first. Not a bad idea. There are times I would like to do that, especially some of those decadent chocolate concoctions lots of restaurants serve, but I dig ress..... I would love to find someone researching my Uncle Jess Hill's family so I could find his parents and any other siblings. If you don't have him in your family, I hope someone else researching middle TN Hill families will, although, I have nothing to share.
