Hi, All some people want to do is claim their ancestry to the tribe that they were told they descend from, not claim benefits. Last night I found out that Wayne Newton is of Cherokee, Powathan, German and Irish heritage. That is all that is needed to be able to say we are from a particular tribe. Just like anyone else can say they are Polish, Swedish, and etc. That's why we are Americans.
