Hi Terry: You will recall and I have shared information on Wilson County individuals from time to time - particularly the John EDWARDS family. Regarding CARTWRIGHT, have you any information in the book on the following individuals? 1800: 19 June, James Edwards m. Patsey Cartwright, Sumner County, TN. (Source: ancestry.com "Marriages of Sumner County, Tennessee, 1787-1838") I have suspected this James EDWARDS as a brother to my John. Further . . . 1820: 25 January, John Edwards of Wilson County, sells to Robert Cartwright, also of Wilson, for $125 on the waters of Round Lick Creek, 50 acres. Borders Joseph Tippett's land. Ezekiel Bass and John C. Tippitt witness. John's wife did not sign. (Wilson Co., Tennessee Deed Book H, p111.) Note a Robert CARTWRIGHT married Elizabeth VINSON, 2 December 1810, Sumner County, TN. John EDWARDS' wife was Mary Polly BASS whose mother was Rachel VINSON. We know for a fact that this John EDWARDS (one of 3 in Wilson County at the time!) was the one who lived on Round Lick Creek.
