I have been looking at both the Williamson/Coffee County and the Wilson County Edwardses for years now, and I think there is some connection between them, even if it goes back to North Carolina. I have two ancesters named Mary Edwards who lived at the same time, one from each county. I wouldn't discount a connection yet.
