I am trying to find out if there is anyone who researches possible Cherokee ancestry in Wilson County, or if there is a website on that topic.
Judy, you won't happen to be related to the Mrs. Bean that Nancy Ward saved would you? Just wondering.... I think most records for Indians are on the rolls...or the recognized tribes...for Cherokee it's the old rolls in NC or the Dawes in Oklahoma....but those are the only *official* records that I know of...
