In researching my great grandfather, Lex Smith, of Wilson County, the community/spot (?) of Indian Ladder has been mentioned by several relatives. Does anyone know where this is or was? Thanks! According to Frank Burns' "History of Wilson County, Tennessee," Indian Ladder was on the Cumberland River west of Hunter's Point. The DeLorme Mapping "Tennessee Atlas and Gazeteer" shows Hunter's Point on the south side of the Cumberland where Highway 231 crosses the Cumberland, almost due north of Lebanon.
