I am looking for info regarding the father of James BATEY. I found an entry in the 1850 Wilson county census for a Joseph BATEY and family. Among the children there is a James age 15. Does anyone know anything about this family? The listing reads: 17th District Joseph BATEY age 75 born NC Fancy BATEY age 61 born VA James BATEY age 15 born TN Sarah BATEY age 21 born TN Thanks for any help on this line.
