Harris left land on Barton's Creek in Wilson County to the heirs of my Alexander Eason of Wilson County. Alexander was married to Mary Walton in Gates Co., NC in 1784, and they were living in Wilson County before 1800. Alexander died in 1808. I have not yet been able to determine why this James W. Harris left land to Alexander Eason's children. One of Alexander's children, Robert, married a Lydia Harris in 1802 in Wilson County, but the Barton's Creek land was left to be divided among all of Robert's siblings, including his sister Mary Eason who married 1825 in WC my brick wall, James Martin,born c. 1803 in NC. Since so many of these families migrated together and intermarried, I've been studying the Harris connection in hopes of learning more about my Easons and Martins.
