    3. Well - 1st, let me thank all of you who have responded and helped me! 2nd, Of vourse I won't give up. Finding the deed for James Galloway from Absalom Clifton - while not being what I had hoped, turned out to be the James Galloway of Rockingham NC. The tract of Land while originally in Sumner - turns out to be in Smirth Co. He paid taxes there in 1814 on the grant and sold it in 1828. This James Galloway moved on to Williamson and had 5000 acres on the Duck river. He was part of a big clanfrom Scotland whose father and uncle were Land buyers in TN. ANYWHO - Becuase of this deed it led me to Smith CO wills and invintories were I did find a will for Tilman Dixon in 1816, and guess what/who I should find; runaway - John Galloway - due; 25 Dec.1809 - $18.00 Becuase my John all of sudden appears in Wilson in May 1810 - I know this is my John Galloway! the irony of it! --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
