My grgrandfather Isaac Chatham listed in 1850 Wilson C9ounty census, with second wife Susan (daughter of Pleasant Jo9hnson of Wilson County) and children, Benjamin, Mary, William, Nancy and Jaames. Isaac, a shoemaker later moved to Nashville, along with William (my grandfather), and James, and maybe others. James was in a tennessee infantry division, and was killed at the battle of Chicamauga. Isaac's first wife, and presumably mother of his children, was a fullblooded Cherokee Indian. I know that there are some Chathams in Wilson County, and hope that at least one of them is a descxendent of Isaac, If you are a Chatham living in Wilson County, and you might possibly be a descendant of Isaac, wiol you please contact me. Or if you know a Chatham who lives or did live in Wilson County, will you please ask them to contact me. I will appreciate it so very much. Pooling our knowledge may lead to additioal information. My EMail address is DCHATHAM@webtv.net. I need some help in trying to trace Isaac before he came to Wilson County. I think he may have liveed in Caswell Conty, NC. E. Doyle Chatham
