Your DANIEL JACKSON (1794-1861) and SARAH(Jackson) JACKSON , married 1817, could well be the parents of my MARY (JACKSON) MELVIN (1824-aft 1900). She and her husband married in 1844 in Wilson County, moving from therc c 1864 to Golconda, Illinois and shortly thereafter to Livingson County, Kentucky. Do you know the proximity of the Cisney area of Muhlenberg County , Kentucky, to Smithland, Livingston County, Kentucky? Names of the children of Mary (Jackson) and Peter Melvin- Martha Elizabeth, Ann Elizabeth, Jane, Tabitha, Nancy Jane, SARAH, Margaret, Andrew John and Ruth (my ggrandmother). He was a Baptist preacher in Illinois and in Kentucky. Do you know the names of children of James and Sarah? I would be interested in any other information on your Jackson family, especially before they moved to Kentucky. Do you know where they lived prior to Wilson County?
