The Tennessee Library and Archives is busily microfilimg marriage records for 1950 which they plan to have online during the month of April. See: http://www.state.tn.us/sos/statelib/pubsvs/whatsnew.htm Now, we all know that anyone can go to court houses and get these records, but it is another matter completely for them to be posted on Internet for anyone, including hose of "ne'erdowells" to see and use as they wish. AS A TAXPAYER IN THE DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN, I FEEL THAT THE STATE LIBARARY AND ARCHIVES CAN MAKE BETTER USE OF ITS MONIES; FURTHERMORE, IT IS ENTIRELY UNETHICAL!!! I URGE you to contact anyone you know in Tennessee and insist that they take immediate action to stop this foolishness. California and Texas came under severe criticism for the same thing.
