    3. Hello All, Really need help on these questions...completely confused!!!! Thomas Wray was married Alcey Wray. I've seen posts listing his children but I was wondering why all the kids are not listed in Alcey's will?? i.e. Luke Wray?? see will at bottom Alcey mentions her son Joseph Wray and then lists two granddaughters, Ann and Emily Wray dau. of Joseph. I've seen this Emily Wray as Emily Wray Covington, wife of William Covington. If Emily was the daughter of Joseph then why does she show up on a guardianship doc. as the minor heir of Luke Wray along with brother Ellison Wray?? They were put under the guardianship of Daniel Glenn. This doc. actually shows James Tipton as the first guardian with his name crossed off and Daniel Glenn's name written in. Then you have my people....Ealy/Aley Wray who died in Oct. 1835. She lists her five children....Didimia Wray Tipton, Carroll, Miniah, Isaac and Nicholas Preston. These last four are also put under the guardianship of Daniel Glenn. In another court doc. Emily Wray Covington contests the will of my Aley/Ealy Wray....indicating that she does have a connection to these people. Theory has it that my Ealy/Aley Wray is actually Elly Daniel who married to Luke Wray, son of Thomas and Alcey Wray. But I'm not sure he would have been the father of all five children....I think the younger ones were born after Luke died in 1814. I'm not sure though as thier ages do not appear on the guardianship papers...all I have is the years that they "became of age" and where no longer under Daniel Glenn's care....assuming that "of age" was 18 back then, that is how I derived a birth year. By carefully reading these docs. I've also discovered that Carroll was actually James Carroll Wray, Miniah was actually Maria/Mariah....Isaac and Nicholas Preston appear as so. Another theory....there was a Margaret Glenn who married to ?? Wray some have said that Carroll, Miniah, Isaac and Nicholas Preston are the children of these two and that is why Daniel Glenn is the guardian. Margaret Glenn did appear to have an uncle named Daniel Glenn. But that still does explain Ellison and Emily Wray and why they are under the Guardianship of Daniel Glenn. Is it Possible that Margaret Glenn married to an Ealy Wray?? If so who was Ealy Wray??? or was Margaret Glenn one of the wives of Luke Wray??? Please find below the wills of Alcey Wray, wife of Thomas and the will of Ealy/Aley Wray.
