Evelyn, Here what I find on the names David or Elizabeth Williams in Wilson Co before 1850: From "Marriages of Wilson Co TN, 1802-1850" 1. David Williams married Betsey Hoozer June 23, 1812. Geo. Rogers BM. 2. David Williams was the bondsman for the marriage of Jeremiah Jadwin and Elsey Rogers June 24, 1815. 3. David Williams (a son perhaps?) married Nancy Stambridge October 4, 1838. Gregory Smith BM. 1840 Census of Wilson Co Elizabeth Williams males 100101 females 00010101 Index to Wills of Wilson County, 1802-1861 shows that: 1. An Elizabeth Williams had a Will in probate in the year 1842. 2. Jackson Vanhoozer had a Will in probate in the year 1856. You can order copies of Wills from the Wilson Co Archives in Lebanon for a small fee. Do you have the names of any of Jesse's siblings? Are you interested in Valentine VanHoozer who died in 1861?
