Thomas E. Partlow's WILSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, CHANCERY COURT RECORDS 1842-1892, has the following Patterson entry which seems to include both John and Joseph. Bill of complaint of George D. Young, administrator of Joseph D. Young, Alex S. Young, Joseph D. Young, Jr., Margaret Young, widow of Joseph D. Young, against Cynthia Boyd, Samuel Young, Margaret Young, a minor, Nancy Young, a minor; Crockett Davis and his four minor children, W. H. Davis, Bertie Jane Davis, James r. Davis, and Rufus L. Davis; John Patterson and his three minor children, John R. Patterson, Rufus Patterson, and Joseph D. Patterson; Mary B. Belcher of Illinois; and Alfred S. Young and James S. Young of Texas. Joseph D. Young, Sr., died some months ago intestate, leaving five children and the representatives of three children who had died. 14 August 1873 (Chancery Book 1872-1873, Pp. 562-564) These are not my people.
