SULLIVAN and Sarah Elizabeth MARTIN, both of Wilson County. Mary Emma Dow can be found listed in the 1870 Wilson County, TN census in the household of Francis SULLIVAN, Dist. 24. In 1877, Mary Dow married George L. LANE and they are listed in the 1880 Wilson County census along with their first child, Addie. By 1900 census, they had moved to Sumner County, TN. Your Emma SULLIVAN might be the one you found in the 1880 census, but she's definitely not the same person as Mary Emma Dow SULLIVAN who is named in the obituary that I posted. She was my g-grandmother. Is the John E. SULLIVAN whom you mention, the same as John Elijah SULLIVAN b. abt. 1842, son of Ahazel SULLIVAN and Clarkey PATTERSON? If not, do you know who were his parents? Who were the parents of Mary C. G. MARTIN? Thanks.
