It took a while for this to dawn on me, and it is true of the area in Davidson Co. that is adjacent to Wilson Co. as well. My Binkleys lived in the Hermitage area of Davidson Co., near the Wilson Co. line. There is only one Binkley who ever appeared in the Rutherford Co. census and then only once; but once I decided to look into Rutherford Co. records, I was able to identify him.
