I continue to search for descendants of Isaac, who was listed in the 1850 Wilson County Census, I am especially interested in in where he was prior to 1849, when he was listed as having married a secons wife, Susan, the daughter of Pleasant Johnson, also of Wilson County, Isaac came from, N.C. - We suspect Caswell County. We also suspect he spent some time in Orange County, Illinois. His first wife , and mother of his children, we are almost positive was a cherokee indian. Wedonot know her name or when they married. The 1850 Wilson County Censuslists Isaac 40, Susan 17, 2nd wife, and five children: Benjamin 18, Mary 17, William l6 (my grandfather), Nancy 9, and James 7. We know about William, who later went to Nashville with Isaac, where Isaac was a shoemaker, and William a boilermaker. I have located a direct descendent of Benjamin, who lives in Virginia, but does not seem to have much information about Benjamin. I am interested in learning the following; 1. Where Isaac was born & where 2. Who was his first wife, when and where they were married, and what happened to her. 3. What happened to the second wife, Susan? There is no record of her having been in Nashville with Isaac. 4. What happened to children: Benjamin, Nancy, Mary and James There surely must be some of their descendents living in Tenn., and perhaps in Wilson County If there is anyone who has informattion concerning Isaac or his children or other descendents, i would be most appreciative if they would contact me and tell me what they know.
