Looking for the Fellowship Community. I'm told it was/is near the Wilson-Rutherford County line. Also looking for the CARTER family there circa 1900. All leads or help appreciated! Thanks Ed Waller
I found this information in the SS Death index: ERA GLENN born: 10 Jan 1889 died: 12 Jun 1991 Last zip code: 37087 (Lebanon, Wilson, TN) Would anyone connected to this gentleman or researching this surname in Wilson Co TN please contact me privately. This unusual first name was also the first name of my g-father who was part of the Smith-Warren Co TN GLENN's. I am trying to establish or rule out the existence of common ancestors shared by the GLENN's in Wilson Co GLENN and the Smith-Warren Co TN GLENN's. This is what I was able to find out about the Wilson Co TN GLENN family from the Book "An Historical Sketch of Wilson County, Tennessee, From Its First Settlement to the Present Time" by James Vaulx Drake (published 1879): List of the members of pioneer communities in Wilson Co between 1795 - 1800: ON CUMBERLAND RIVER - Elijan Moore, William Saunders, Caleb Taylor, Bartholomew Brett, William Johnson, Josiah Woods, William T. Cole, Joseph Kirkpatrick, Henry Davis, James Tipton, Thomas Ray, Reuben Slaughter, DANIEL GLENN, James A. Hunter, Ransom King, Henry Jackson, Ephraim Beasley, Sterling Tarpley, Charles Lock, William Petway and others; The following are the registers of the county from 1799 to the present time: John Alcorn, Henry Ross, James Foster, Thomas Edwards, Alfred H. Foster, GILES H. GLENN, Robert M. Holman, Allen W. Vick, and John F. Tarpley, whose term expires in 1882. Goodspeed's History lists this reference: Giles H. Glenn, was a Sheriff 1839 to 1844 and a member of the House of Representatives 1869-1871 Renee
