William Turner McGregor (who once lived in Wilson Co., TN but can't find on TN Census records) was born 1799 in Tennessee. William McGregor was born Tennessee in 1815. William D. McGregor was born 1838 in Alabama. Can anyone researching this line help me determine how these McGregors are related? I have my hunches, but I have nothing to back them up with. Any help would be much appreciated. >> I can't answer that question specifically, but I have a Civil War era family letter stating "Cousin William McGregor is dead." I have supposed this to be a son of William McGregor who married Frances H. Graves in Wilson County in 1826. I THINK she was a daughter or John G. Graves (b. c 1777) and Polly Rutland. John George Graves was a brother of my ancestor, Benjamin Graves (b. c 1781) who married Sarah Martin in Caroline County, Virginia in 1804. Do you know anything about this William McGregor?
