This is in response to a couple of postings on this site. I sent a direct response to "lynnhjack" but will put this on this site. The original request was for info on James Wilson who married a daughter of Jessie Ward but did not include the given name for the women he married. I have looked at the information that I have and can not find a WARD bride married to a WILSON groom. This search was done on pages from "Early Middle TN Marriages" by Sistler, 1988. There are four books in this set, Middle TN and Western TN. The listings are separate alphabetical listings by brides and then by grooms. It lists the county where the marriage license was issued and the date. These four books maybe of help to anyone looking for marriage infor in TN. I believe that the books are available in many libraries, at least here in AZ. Dick Madson Mesa AZ
Thank-you!!!!!!!!!!! I had not thought of that. I am getting ready to (hope to anyway) take a trip this Friday to the library. I am going to look for this book. Do you know the dates covered in it? Maybe I can find the marriage of Robert Wilson and Sarah Russell in it. What a find that would be.
