I will certainly try to look where you have directed. I wasn't sure what you meant by "a burned county" but from oral history this information seems to fit. "We can't find anything about him before his birth as the court house was burned during the WAR" was repeated on many occasions. This was in reference to William Thomas Crutchfield Williams. I have located a lady the found some information on WTC Williams. She also located another man and they found a common ancestor in their history. Perhaps they are also my kin.<G> This gives me COUNTIES and areas to search. I have NO idea as to religion of the family and only that they [women] attended the Methodist church in MS & LA. The men, my father & his brother, their father and his 4 brothers and their father seldom went to church unless to a wedding or funeral [and not then if they could find what they considered a 'good' excuse] so I have NO idea as to the religious background. If anyone! asked "I'm Methodist" was the answer I heard. I've never considered the possibility of them being Quaker but it has been presented to me from more than one direction lately. Thanks again. Crutch Williams PS - What is your name? I see Pat, but Pat what? and are you man or woman? :-) The name could be either. Perhaps this doesn't matter but if you don't mind I would appreciate knowing!
