Surnames: KELLEY/KELLY HICKS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UiB.2ACI/836 Message Board Post: My 3 gr grandparents, Noah and Hannah HICKS KELLEY/KELLY were married in Wilson Co TN in 1806. I have a copy of the marriage bond, signed by Richard HICKS-- father of Hannah, Noah, and a witness Jno. ALLCOIN. Noah and Hannah had 9 children, all in TN: George (who died "young"), William (who stayed in TN, so I believe to be the eldest child), James, Silas, Elizabeth, Isaac, Sarah, John, and Noah. The family left from Lincoln Co, TN in about 1829 and moved to Montgomery Co, IL. Noah had a brother Thomas, who married Hannah's sister Elizabeth in TN around 1806. Noah is not listed on any tax or census list that I have checked for TN, though I know they lived there "somewhere". Later censuses list the children's birth place as TN. Anyone recognize this line?
