I don't know if this will help or not but there was a Richard R. Pemberton b: 1787 Va. who came to Saline Co., Il. and died there in 1875. He was first married to a Nancy J. then in Sept 1865 he married Lucy Ann Johnson, dau. of Asa B. Johnson. I believe all these people were from Wilson Co. He is the only Pemberton I have that gives the birthplace of Va. Have you checked out Saline Co., IL.?? I think there were some Carlins who came there also. Jane Dyer
