I have just today recieved information that William Bradshaw was really Williamson Bradshaw..and he had a first marriage to a Susannah Harris, who was the mother of Mary Elizabeth Bradshaw...Here is the census and marriage information.. Williamson age 22 Hartwell age 16 Dixson age 12 Elizabeth age 10 Thomas age 9 Eliza age 7 John age 3 Nancy age 2 Elvira MITCHELL age 72 Wilson 162-647 are you interested in 1860? A "W. L. BRADSHAW" is listed then, age 35 with a wife Sarah 27, children Mary E. 6, Ida 2, and a "D. L. BRADSHAW age 21 (male), and Lucinda FENNELL age 35. The Wilson BRADSHAW in the 1850 census is still there, but Williamson is no longer in the household. I did find marriage records in Wilson County: Williamson BRADSHAW to Susannah J. HARRIS 30 November 1852 Williamson L. BRADSHAW to Sarah J. SHEPARD 28 December 1856 It would appear that Mary E. was by his marriage to Susannah and Ida by his marriage to Sarah. Also two marriages for Wilson BRADSHAW: Wilson BRADSHAW to Polly SPICKARD 2 March 1824 Wilson BRADSHAW to Nancy D.
